Tundish is a reservoir of liquid steel in between Ladle and Mould. Inside the tundish there is refractory lining to protect the Tundish shell plate from liquid steel. Tundish top is covered with refractory frame –cover to protect the heat loss of liquid steel during casting. Tundish has four nozzles; each has been fitted with 1) Stopper Rod Assembly to control the flow of liquid steel from tundish to the mould and2) SEN (Submerged Entry Nozzle) to protect the liquid steel from heat loss and atmospheric contamination during casting.
In a continuous casting plant (Bloom/Round casting), smooth and efficient
operation is possible only if all the equipments are operated correctly and safely.
Any breakdown will result in huge loss of man-hours and hence production
hampering the growth of the organization. The Bloom/Round caster is a highly
automated and sophisticated machine, which requires close and experienced
supervision. This modernized plant brings in improved productivity, better energy

which have great demand at our home dept. MSM & Foreign market and the
round section(ᶲ340mm,futureᶲ350mm) is used for the preparation of Wheel and
Axle.
