It  provides initial inputs on all the key managerial competencies in the framework - personal effectiveness, people management, execution excellence, change management, customer orientation, managing external stakeholders, strategic orientation and  business acumen. It also covers the integration of all these competencies.

This Advanced General Management Program(AGMP) is a mandatory online course for E7 executives eligible for promotion. The aim of the program is to enable the participants to appreciate the role of HoD in SAIL and prepare themselves to be an effective HoD.

SAIL’s aspiration to build a robust, future-ready leadership pipeline requires intentional development of women leaders—not only as high performers, but as mentors, sponsors, and institutional leaders. While representation has improved at entry and mid-levels, the leadership funnel narrows significantly at senior and apex levels, indicating the need for structured mentoring, role clarity, and succession visibility.

Inspire to Lead is a 1.5-day capability-building workshop designed to:

  • Build a shared understanding of mentoring as a leadership development process

  • Equip mid-level women leaders to act as credible mentors and sponsors

  • Create a Women Leadership Succession Framework for SAIL from E1 to CMD

  • Define stage-wise leadership requirements, experiences, and enablers

  • Develop a Women Leadership Roadmap aligned to SAIL’s business, plant, and corporate realities

The program moves beyond inspiration to institutionalization—embedding mentoring into SAIL’s succession planning, ADCs, and leadership pathways, while empowering women leaders to take ownership of their growth and that of others.
